  • From the Heart..

I'm believing in healing this morning... well every morning, every day, but I just happen to need it today! Been feeling the Lord tugging on my heart this week. As a public confession, I apologize Lord that I haven't sharing your mercy and love, forgive me. Jesus is waiting, only if you are ready.
I was watching  The Way of the Master on Sunday, (with Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort) since I couldn't be in church. A woman was talking about how for 20 years her and her husband were in a "group" for 20 years.  They owned a clothing shop in town. When they finally got away from this "group" they started going to a Christian church in the town.  There were so many faces they recognized from the shop. Not ONCE in 20 years did anyone share Jesus with them.  NOT ONCE in 20 years.  I was convicted immediately. Some people told them they thought they were happy in this "group" and didn't know how to share with the love of Jesus with them. How many times do we sit idly by, as we watch other lives go down the drain, or in more convicting terms, go to Hell. Sometimes sharing the truth isn't enough. Repetition is the key. Those of you who are now Believers, did you respond the first time someone shared Jesus with you? I didn't. Not even the second or the third time. As a matter of fact it took me til the age of 28 to realize that Jesus really was there. I had gone to church practically my whole life. But I thought I was ok, as long as I put up the front, pretending my life was ok. God shook me one night. We had been invited to see Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames. God shook me to the bone, and I've never looked back... Living it and sharing it over and over and over, no matter how many times, no matter how tired we are, that's whats gonna bring them to Jesus. Sometimes we will HAVE to talk until we're blue in the face, and yes, we WILL get frustrated, but we are to NEVER GIVE UP! Plant the seed. And keep planting, keep plowing, and do it again... it will eventually grow. Really.

LIFE OF PRAISE - Casting Crowns

I will love You, Lord always
Not just for the things You've done for me
And I will praise You all my days
Not just for the change You've made in me
I'll praise you for You are holy, Lord
And I'll lift my hands, but You are worthy of so much more

    Chorus:
For You are awesome, God of the Nations,
Lion of Judah, Rock of the Ages, Alpha, Omega
    You're worthy of all praise
More that these hands I'll raise
I'll live a life of praise

I will serve You Lord, always for You are my strength
    When I am weak
I will never be afraid for You are my rock and You protect me
But I'll praise You for You are holy, Lord
And I'll lift my hands, but You are worthy of so much more

HOW CAN I KEEP ROM SINGING - Chris Tomlin

    There is an endless song
    Echoes in my soul
    I hear the music ring

And though the storms may come
    I am holding on
    To the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
    How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

    I will lift my eyes
    In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives

And I will walk with You
    Knowing You'll see me through
And sing the songs You give

I can sing in the troubled times
    Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
    And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
    Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
    Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

  • Emotions and my eating... UGH!

I know I haven't been on here lately... been on facebook! I miss my xanga friends!!! Well anyway... I am so tired of being fat.  I am really going to get this into my brain... EXERCISE IS NOT THE ENEMY, NEITHER IS FOOD! THE DEVIL IS MY ENEMY!  I have been struggling so much with my weight, I am trying to do better starting this week, starting today. So I am checking out the fitness centers in Ashland... Dr. Bernhard is cheapest @ $20/month, but closes @ 7p. Snap Fitness is open 24/7 and is $35/mo.  I have several friends who go either place and they really like both.  I guess I just have to see what fits in my schedule, & when its raining like this you can't go on a walk, well I guess you can, but I don't want to in the rain! LoL!  So since I don't have to work tomorrow I will check both places out, today I am walking up and down my stairs for 10 min then working out on my ball for 20 min.  Ate an omelet for breakfast and making a turkey sandwich for lunch.  I've been eating a lot of junk lately, and honestly I think I have an addiction to SUGAR!  doesn't matter what it, if its sugary ... I've been eating it!  I was listening to the radio today(wvmc), and the woman on the show was Chantal Hobbs.  She is a great motivator! She said to take it one day @ a time, BIBLICAL principle here! Celebrate each day your accomplishments not once a month.  If you stayed away from the snacks and did 20 min (or whatever) in exercise, congratulate yourself, you made it through one more day... I thought that was a great concept, why didn't I ever think of that before?  I always make small goals like, I'm working on right now, losing 5 lbs, then I'll work on the next 5.  I tend to get obsessive and get on the scale every morning, I am  trying to stop that.  Its too depressing... once a week is perfect, I just have to get my brain to think that!
    Here is her site http://www.chantelhobbs.com/chantel/

ONE DAY AT A TIME... Thank you Jesus for getting that into my head today.  I have been struggling because I am not happy with myself. I can't get motivated to do anything. I go to eat, got to work, eat, come home, eat, laundry, eat, got to friend's, eat.... do you see a pattern here?  I know theres nothing wrong with eating, I just got to start making better choices.  I've had some other struggles lately, and I think thats why I turned to the food, I am emotional eater... I know you don't all know whats going on, but just keep praying for me...  I want to try for another baby, but I want to also be in better shape than I am right now.  I want to have my goal of walking/ doing something physical everyday met before I do get pregnant. I know I can do it, and I know God is with me every step... pun intended...

Getting in your daily exercise can be as simple as taking a walk or a bike ride through the park. Results for: Athena Collins

    1. The first step is to get moving.
When it comes to getting started, the top priority is to establish some discipline. The first month don’t be crazy when it comes to changing what you eat, just make the commitment to exercise for 30 minutes, 5 days a week, NO matter what. You will start to feel so much better about yourself  in no time…

    2. The next step is to give up something, not everything.
I want you realize that looking in the face of temptation and resisting is very powerful. The problem for regular DIETERS is that they get frustrated early on by trying to do it all at one. This will be a personal challenge, do totally doable! Take something that you love out of your life for 30 days- you will feel incredible…

    3. Food is your fuel
While you have focused on discipline and saying NO to your greatest temptation, you will want to make food have a proper place in your life- TRY to THINK of food as fuel from now on…if you want to run well, you will need to put the best stuff in! Don’t have a lot of variety in your life right now, keep your selection basic so it doesn’t require much planning! It won’t be long and you will be having your cake and eating it too!!!!!

    4. Excercise
Exercise can be intimidating- I understand,  but the key is to GET passionate about feeling better than you have in a long time. You need to give yourself time to start liking it! And it might not happen right away. The important thing to remember is how miserable you have felt in the past, and that you will never allow yourself to feel like this again- this time you will take the weight off for good!

    5. Stop buying your old excuses
This is where my program really stands out. I know how our brains operate- we let ourselves off the hook on a regular basis. Then before we know it, we don’t even recognize the person staring back in the mirror! I want to personally challenge you to not let your old excuses keep you from personal success. Not enough hours in the day, I can’t afford a gym membership, I have the fat gene, I have too much to lose, and so on- whatever your’s are- know this: THEY HAVE done NOTHING for you but kept you from being the best you can be! It’s time to stop getting ready for the event and start getting ready for life!

Must go to work now... I'll stop by later and let you know my progress for the day!

    Another rainy day
I can't recall having sunshine on my face
    All I feel is pain
All I wanna do is walk out of this place
But when I am stuck and I can't move
When I don't know what I should do
When I wonder if I'll ever make it through

    I gotta keep singing
I gotta keep praising Your name
Your the one that's keeping my heart beating
    I gotta keep singing
I gotta keep praising Your name
That's the only way that I'll find healing

Can I climb up in Your lap
    I don't wanna leave
    Jesus sing over me
    I gotta keep singing

Can I climb up in Your lap
    I don't wanna leave
    Jesus sing over me
    I gotta keep singing

    Oh You're everything I need
    And I gotta keep singing
